1. PAUL’S HOMEMADE ICE-CREAM
There once was a time when no really supreme ice-cream was produced in Johannesburg… then came Paul’s. Thank goodness for us!
Their flavours include Nutella & Oreo, Birthday Cake (my personal favourite!), Cookie Dough, Chili Chocolate, Butterscotch & Brownie, S’mores, Butter Popcorn, Hot Cross Bun, Cardamom & Pistachio, Maple Syrup with candied Pecan AND Whiskey, Chai Tea, Liquorice, and Speculaas Cookie Butter (also a fave of mine) to name a few! They also do a new “flavour of the month” every month and November’s is MOVEMBER MANGO.
I stopped by their Parkhurst store for a cone last week after a long, exhausting day of shooting people…with my camera!

The latest trend I’m loving.
One of my top 3 favourite Joburg eateries at the moment. PRON or People’s Republic of Noodles is an authentic Chinese restaurant in Linden, started by Emma Chen (also the owner of the famous Red Chamber restaurant in Hyde Park). You won’t find the usual Chinese spring rolls, sweet & sour sauce, rice or chop suey here. PRON specializes in the dishes Emma grew up with in Northern China – mostly bread and noodles! Yum! Besides the AMAZING, flavourful and healthy dishes, the decor, service and atmosphere also scored 5 stars on my watch. Click here to read the full post and see all the photos : JOBURG EATERIES | PRON
4. FUNKY NAILS
I’ll be traveling to the Natal Midlands this weekend for a short getaway and to attend a friend’s wedding. How cute are these colourful flamingo-and-springblossom nails for my trip?
5. QUOTE OF THE WEEK
This quote has been my inspiration for some time now. And especially at the moment. I’m about to do something scary, but more about that later.
